When PlayIt_Open is asked to auto-detect a file the sample format word (among other things) is set describing the detected format. The following list shows all the formats and sub-formats PlayIt returns when it recognises them. xx and yy in the table are bits 24-31 and 16-23 respectively of the sample format word. yy is the format's internal code if it has one and the absense of different codes does not mean PlayIt only recognised one variant.
